Least restrictive method is used.
Greatest amount of movement possible.

Restraints are only used when all other protective actions fail.
Some people can harm themselves or others.

Unnecessary restraint is false imprisonment.
Must understand reason for restraint and risks.

Informed consent is required.
Person must understand the reason for restraints.
