• Girls had curly hair
• They wore dresses and gloves, and had their hair was done in some way.

• Most people even in Texas were vegetarians or vegans
• The food was colorful, nutritious, and usually homemade.

• Many people love and adored the Beattles
• Some of their famous songs were "A Day In The Life", "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane"

1960 MOVIES

• A big entertainment was movies, like "Beach Party" and "Spell Bound".
• And a popular cartoon was Bonanza.

SCHOOL

• In the 1960's the classrooms were big, there were lots of kids, and one teacher.
• And every kid sat in individual desks.
• Other wise, they learned all the subjects we do, like math, reading, science, writing, and all the others.

TECHNOLOGY

• Some household technology was one turn dial phone (in the background) a television (TV) and a radio or record player.

TRANSPORTATION

• A very common was to get around was to drive a car, take a bus, or for kids ride a bike.
• Fun Fact: Ford Mustangs were originally made for women!

• In the 1960's John F. Kennedy was president, and the Beatles were rising with fame.

• In the 1960's the Vietnam war was going on, and lasted 16 years (1954-1975)

• There were lots of dumplings, soup, tofu, eggs, chicken, beans, and noodles.

STYLES

• Women wore tight short sleeve dresses, and men wore suits and buttoned shirts.

ENTERTAINMENT

• They watched baseball, watched movies, played games like tag, and read books.

SCHOOL

• They learned citizenship, math, reading, science, and writing.
• They also had gym. The classrooms were medium sized but a lot of desks and kids.

TECHNOLOGY

• The common house hold tech was turn dial phones, old fashion televisions, and also mini radios.

TRANSPORTATION

• They had motorcycles, wagons, bikes, trains, and horse pulled carts.

• The styles were poodle skirts,bell bottom pants, short white gloves, ribbon hats, and collard dresses.

• De me jeans, plaid vest, match blazer with slacks, stripes and sailor style, and athletic jackets.

FOOD

• They liked to eat soup, asparagus, blue berries, cranberries, tomatoes, corn, peaches, bel peppers, pizza, and bread.

ENTERTATAINMENT

• Go to the board walk
• Go to the beach
• Go and ski
• Go eat at restaurants
• Go fishing or go on a cruse
• Go scuba diving
• go to concerts

WHAT SCHOOLS WHERE LIKE

• They were sometimes strict with you
• They had good space
• Have there own desk
• Teachers will be nice if you behave

• There were cars that weren't that cool bot there where some wagons
• They have found a cure for polio and the cure is called PENICILLIN
• And people going into space
