Volunteer work looks really good while trying to find a job being a vet. Volunteering at humanities or job shadowing for a vet is a great thing to do when you are younger and know you want to be a veterinarian .

Veterinary programs usually follow two phases of study. During phase one, students spend two to three years concentrating on science. Classes include anatomy, microbiology, physiology, pathology and pharmacology. Phase two entails clinical work combined with continued courses in surgery, examination skills, animal health and other medical-related subjects. You study special areas such as theriogenology (reproduction), dentistry, husbandry, internal medicine and cardiology in their fourth year while completing clinical

  • Examine animals to diagnose their health problems
  • Diagnose and treat animals for medical conditions
  • Treat and dress wounds
  • Perform surgery on animals
  • Test for and vaccinate against diseases

CONTINUED...

  • Prescribe medication
  • Euthanize animals

PERSONAL OPINION OF CAREER🎉🙌

She likes that she knows she is helping an animal who might be in pain or helping an animal who might become in pain. She dislikes when people come in with animals but the owners wait to long and now she cant do anything to help the animal.

The easiest thing she does is vaccines and check-ups. One of the hardest things to do is trying to diagnose the illness, surgeries , and when owners doesnt want their animal so they ask for euthanasia.

Some of the challenges of being a vet is when the owners complain about the price of the appointment when really the money goes to all of the vaccines and instruments and other supplies for the animals.
