Recording engineers deal with the TECH stuff. Like with making your voice sound good. However the recording engineer will usually be the one, who has set up the singer’s microphone, and set up the drummers kits and plugged the guitar and plug in the keyboards into the sound board. Recording engineers deal in the most hands on aspects of recording live music and audio.
What Do You Need To Get This Job?
before you get a job like this, you will need to study the principles behind sound & music. In your life you would want to enroll in a college or university, specifically for recording arts or audio engineering.

EDUCATION
If you decided to become a recording engineer then you would need to make sure that you knew how instruments work, and how the soundboard works.
