He was gifted with the skill of interpreting the life and social attitudes of Mexican people
Born 1852 and died 1913
He created the image of La Catrina with inspiration from the goddess of death and Lady of the Underworld Mictecacihuatl
The image he created became a symbolic figure not only for Dia de Los Muertos but for the Mexican revolution as we'll.
