EXCISE TAX

Definition:
Excise taxes are taxes paid when purchases are made on a specific good, such as gasoline.

EXAMPLE 1

GAS

Explanation:
Just about all excise tax is included in the price. For example when you pay for gas, The excise tax is included in the price. (As you can see in the background picture)

EXAMPLE 2

CIGARETTES

Explanation:
Cigarettes are another good example of how excise tax is included in the price. As you can see in the picture, the excise tax per pack is 87 cents.

EXAMPLE 3

ALCHOHOL

Explanation:
Like cigarettes, alcohol's excise tax is also included in the price. The amount of tax put on it depends on the amount of ancho being purchased. (As is shown in the graph in the background)
