POPSICLE STICK CATAPULT

How can I make my catapult launch mini marshmallows very far?That means need to add more than a normal popsicle stick catapult.

BACKGROUND
The science behind this project is that the catapult has to hold energy. Then it needs enough energy to launch it far. When the energy gets released the object goes flying.

MATERIALS

• Popsicle sticks
• Rubber bands
• Plastic spoons
• Liquid glue
• Mini-marshmallows
• Tape measures

PLAN
I'm going to make a wide but not to wide catapult. Also I'll add a thing that will stretch the spoon for more power.

CREATE
My design is a basic catapult but a little different. My catapult has a rubber-band that holds it still and gives it potential energy.

IMPROVE
I think I was successful. My creativity helped make my catapult store power and launch the mini-marshmallow far. Next time I would add a better base to keep the rubber band from flinging off.

REAL LIFE
I think someone would need to know this more in midieval times. Or around battle ships that launch planes.
