EARLY LIFE

  • John was born on May 29, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts from Joseph and rose Kennedy, his real name is John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
  • His nick name was Jack.
  • When he was 2 1/2 years old he had scarlet fever, a deadly illness. John didn't get better.

LIFE'S WORK

  • In 1952 John was elected to U.S congress 5 times. In 1960 he was elected for president.
  • He worked for equal rights and started the Peace Corps. He also wanted Americans to explore outer space.

LATER YEARS

  • On November 22, 1963, John and his wife were riding in a parade in Dallas, Texas. John was shot and killed. At just 46, he was the youngest president to die in an office.

CONTRIBUTIONS

  • In 1956 John wrote Profiles in Courage about leaders and their ideas. John himself is remembered as a great leader. John was the youngest man to be elected president.
