  • Common People didn't have any freedom, they couldn't even walk on roads
  • They worked in groups called units that consisted of 12 people
  • If you didn't do your job in the unit you could be killed
  •  The unit had to live in a hut together in their field 
  • There was a tax on the food a commoner kept
