Schumann is a German composer and influential music critic. He is known for being one of the greatest composers in the romantic Period. He had the potential to be one of the greatest composers of all time, but an injury ended that possibility. His compositions were only made for the piano.
Schumann suffered from a long lifetime mental disorder, which is what ended his career. In 1854, he attempted suicide. After this, he was admitted to a mental asylum, at his own will.
