• Helped blacks get a public rights and be equal in society

JACKIE ROBINSON APRIL 15, 1947

• Jackie Robinson
• An African American man could not play baseball because of his color, but he played his first game on April 15, 1947
• It changed sports forever

DESEGREGATION OF THE MILITARY JULY 26, 19

• Executive order 9981 issued by Truman stated that the services were going to be segregated.

BROWN VS. BOARD OF EDUCATION 1954

• Decided that separate schools are unequal.
