The School
It was a week before our project Darcy and I haven't came up with anything yet. We were in Darcy's room, everything in her room it purple and black. Darcy was watching her favorite show Crime Scene: New York which is a detective show.
I shut her laptop, "hey it was getting to the good part" Darcy protested. "We have to figure out what we are going to do for our fake small business for social studies" I spoke. We both sat back in our chairs, Darcy opened her laptop back up and I grabbed my notebook. "How about a dog walking company? Or pet sitting? I suggested. "Meh everyone else is doing that, I want to do something different" Darcy said. Darcy went back to watching her show, "hey what about a detective agency" Darcy shouted!
I didn't really want to do it but I said yes because we don't have anything better. A week later we finish our project. In class we sat down, "okay time for class, and today you are going to present your projects" Mrs. Feldman said. I was trying to pay what she was saying my eyes kept rolling to Zane Munro. It was are turn to present and I thought that we we're going to fail. When we got up there, Darcy plugged in laptop and I explained what we did for our project. I was so nervous but I made through it.
Later that Darcy and I hung out together like usual. Went to Darcy's house up to her room and sat in my spot. Darcy sat in her spot, I took out my homework and Darcy took out and turned on her laptop. "Don't you have homework" I ask? "No I finished it at school" she replied. She look back at her computer screen and said "whoa." "What" I asked. "The website we created for our fake detective agency just got an email about a real case."
My heart started pounding. I finished my homework then went over to Darcy and her laptop and read the screen. It was only one line: Please find my twin sister. Darcy started typing I gasped "what are you going to say" I asked. "We need more info" she pointed out. "What take on a real case we are only in the 7th grade, we can't do that" I shouted. "Don't you like helping people and people will never on that we are doing this" she replied. We'll I did so I let her type.
Who are you? What happen to sister? We might help... Darcy press send, one moment later and email popped up. Darcy opened it and said Bailey Ann Banks. It didn't ring a bell and answer Darcy's questions. But Darcy found a birthday April fourth. The year I look at and I realized she is in our grade. "First thing we have to figure out who is the mystery emailer" I said. Darcy and I started making a list.
The next Darcy and I were in the hall talking. "We need to get everyone's birthday in the 7th grade" I sighed. "We'll don't you think people would ask why we need there birthdays" Darcy replied. Bang! What was that I wounded? Looked back at Darcy, Bang! Darcy and I went to looked it was Zane. "I can help" he said. "Help with what" I ask. "I could say it is for a student council thing" he said. "Sure" I shouted.
Later that day I heard "Norah" someone shouted. I stopped and turned around to see who it was and it was Zane. I smiled "hey." "I got the all the 7th grader birthdays" he informed. He grabbed the list out his bag and handed it to me. "Thanks" I gulped. He didn't even ask what they were for. I was about tell him but before I could he said "bye I have to go walk Maya home." I didn't say anything all I thought he like Maya but who knew. When I got Darcy's she was watching her show. "Did you get it" she ask. "Yeah" I sighed. But all that kept popping in my was Zane and Maya. Darcy got half I got the other. "Did you find anything" I asked. "No you" she replied. I kept looking then there it was April forth. " I know who it is" I shouted!
"Who is it" she shouted. She leaned over to look, my was pointing at it. "Fiona Fanning" she whispered. Her sister is missing, I didn't even think that she would have twin sister. Though it could be possible. "Fiona is those poplar girls, but we need to talk to her get more information" I said. Darcy grabbed her laptop starting typing. "What are you doing" I asked. " I'm emailing Fiona, to met us back stage at lunch" she replied. "How do you she will come" I asked. She showed me her laptop and she signed by Baileys name.
