SCHOOL GARDEN

OUR PURPOSE

• The appearance of the school should make people look twice.
• School salads could use improvement when it comes to vegetables.
• This project will benefit the community and school body.
• Our town will look neater and our school side dishes would be a lot fresher.
• To save water we are putting barrels around the school to catch rain water.

ACTION PLAN

• We will begin this month.
• To continue this project when we leave we will talk to our fellow 7th graders.
• We would like for our mentor to help build/set up the garden
• Our group, life skills, and logos to help set it up, we want to have the whole school help,
• We hope this garden will carry on through future class generations.

JOBS

• Kody & Damon will work with life skills to help create the garden.
• Jessica & Natalie have planned to do all paperwork & talk to businesses,
• All of us however, will work on the garden together as a team.

WHAT WE RESEARCHED

• Times plants should be put in the ground.
• What plants should be put together and which should not.
• Another source for water besides tap.
• What is the best type of fertilizer/plant food.

HOW WE PLANNED TO FUND OUR PROJECT

• We sent out business letters to local stores.
• Fundraisers could potentially be in order if we have liftel funds.
• Our mentor helped us find connections for donations.
