PRESENTATION OUTLINE
A is for Arrogant
The Socs are a perfect example of arrogant. There arrogant because they got money and they picked on Ponyboy and injured him for fun. Even though they paid the price by getting pelted by rocks in their Corvair.
B is for Bossy
Darrell or "Darry" seems to be the bossy one of the gang. Last kind of person I would want to be around is someone who's bossy. I don't know how the boys can hang around Darrel. If Soda and Ponybony weren't brothers with him, I doubt they would hang out with him.
C is for Corvair
The Corvair is what the Socs drove. The Corvair was a popular car in the 60s. They were one of "the" cars to have in the 60s and still are today and that's why the Socs drove one.
D is for Darry
Darry is a greaser and is the oldest one in the group. He is also older than Soda and Ponyboy which makes him also the oldest brother. Ponyboy does find him bossy but appreciates him.
E is for Encouraging
I find Soda the most encouraging out of the gang. Ponyboy likes Soda the most because he encourages him, unlike Darry. People find encouragement very helpful like, during sports. The only thing Ponyboy wants is encouragement because Darry always nags about his grades.
F is for Fierce
One word that pops up in my mind for the Socs is fierce. The younger Greasers fear the Socs because the Socs always jump them and when they do they always get injured. The two people that fear the Socs the most is Ponyboy and Johnny.
G is for Greasers
The boys get called the "Greasers" because they're poor and have greasy hair. Like when the Socs when past Ponyboy they called him a Greaser. In this book Greasers are the ones that live in the "hood".
Hoods
When people think of Hoods, they think of Ghettos. Dangerous and poor places. Like South side of Chicago, South Central L.A. or known is Compton, West Philadelphia and Liberty City Miami. In the Outsiders, the Greasers live in the hood. That's why everybody thinks they're dangerous and poor.
