CAUSES OF THE AMERICAN REVOULUTION

BOSTON TEA PARTY

  • Occurred on December 16th 1773
  • The location was Boston Massachusetts
  • It was a protest from the sons of liberty
  • The colonists (dressed as American indians) threw tea into Boston harbor
  • After it happend the British closed the harbor until the tea was paid for

LEXINGTON AND CORNCORD

  • The British were about to take away the colonists wepons when they were ambushed
  • No one knows who fired the first shot
  • The first shot was called the shot heard around the world
  • Paul Revere ran all around alarming the colonists to prepare for battle
  • It happend on april 19th 1775

THE BOSTON MASSACRE

  • The colonists were throwing sticks, snowballs and rocks at the soldiers
  • There were about 50 colonists in all
  • It occured in Boston Massachusetts
  • It occured on march 5th 1770
  • 3 people died on site and 2 more died later

I think these are the most important things that started the American Revolution because they all had to do with anger from the colonists. I also think that they were trying to prove to the British that they were not going to pay their taxes.
