• Polly meets Digory by seeing him in the garden outside his house and went to say hello.

STRAWBERRY-FLEDGE

• Strawberry was originally from London but came to Narnia and was turned into a winged horse named Fledge.
• Strawberry or Fledge was granted the power to think and speak at the beginning of Narnia by Aslan.
• In London when the winged horse was still Strawberry was owned by a cabby and his wife.
• Fledge took Digory and Polly to the orchard to get a magical apple for Aslan as a quest for Digory.

CABBY AND HIS WIFE

• The cabby was brought to Narnia and made the first king of Narnia.
• The cabby's wife was brought to Narnia after the cabby was declared king and said he wouldn't be king without his wife
• The cabby's wife came to Narnia by being brought up through the ground by Aslan.

ASLAN

• Aslan created Narnia by singing a song and for each note a tree or animal or plant came up.
• The song Aslan sang let anything planted would grow that kind of tree. Like when Jadis through the iron bar a lamppost grew.
• Aslan made only a few of each species of animal think and talk.

JADIS

• Jadis was the Empress of Charn until she eliminated everyone.
• Jadis was made of stone from a spell until Digory rang a magical bell that freed Jadis.
• Jadis ate one of the magical apples so that she could live forever and not age.
• Jadis tried to trick Digory into eating the magical apple or giving it to his mother instead of giving it to Aslan.

UNCLE aNDREW

• Uncle Andrew claims to be a magician and to be the last person to have a fairy godmother
• He created magical rings that will take you to different worlds.
• He tricked Polly into putting on a ring to travel to a different world and made Digory go.
• Uncle Andrew was Jadis' servant when Digory and Polly accidentally brought Jadis to London.

THEME

• The theme of the story is to follow your heart and do what's right.
• This is the theme of the story because when Digory gets the apple for Aslan -
• Jadis tries to coax him into eating the apple himself or giving it to his mother and leaving Polly behind.
• Digory realizes that he can't leave Polly behind and gives the apple to Aslan and gets another magical apple to give to his mother.

CONFLICT

• Digory's mom is very sick. And wants to naturally go to sleep not by taking medicine.
• Digory's dad is in India. Helping Digory's Great-Uncle Kirke.
• Digory and Polly bring Jadis to Narnia. By jumping through a pool with their magical rings on touching Jadis.
• The magical apple tree Digory planted in London falls down. By still being connected to Narnia so it waved when there was wind in Narnia.
• Polly gets tricked by Uncle Andrew and is sent to another world. By Uncle Andrew saying she can have a yellow ring which let's you travel.

RESOLUTION

• Aslan gives Digory an apple that perfectly heals his mother.
• Digory's Great-Uncle Kirke died and that meant Digory and his family became very wealthy and his dad came back from India.
• Jadis runs off after failing at the attempt to coax Digory.
• Digory chops the wood (which is still very magical) and makes it into a wardrobe and puts it into his castle.
• Digory goes after Polly, but comes back with Polly and Jadis.

WHICH CHARACTER AM I LIKE

• I think I am like Polly but also like Digory.
• Polly has her cave while I have my own secret place in the woods behind my house.
• Like Polly I would want one of those magic rings.
• But like Digory I would have wanted to ring the magical bell to see what it did too.
• Like Digory I would have taken the apple to Aslan and not eat it for myself.

MY FAVORITE PART

• My favorite pat was when the magical apple tree in London fell down.
• It is my favorite part because when it fell Digory chopped the tree and turned it into a wardrobe and put it into his castle.
• Another reason is it started the amazing adventures for Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy.
• Another reason is the apple tree wasn't from this world so if someone discovered the magic then everyone will know about Narnia which is bad.
• My last reason is if Digory's uncle and aunt they would have chopped it and burned it and so something bad could go wrong burning magical firewood.

MY LEAST FAVORITE PART

• My least favorite part is that Jadis was left in Narnia.
• One reason is because many years later she thinks she is the queen of Narnia.
• My second reason is she has eaten an apple that makes it so you will never age.
• Another reason is Jadis might go to Archenland and take over and send soldiers to Narnia for a war.
• My last reason is she might enslave many creatures.

LIFE EVENT

• A life event that is similar to the book is when Digory's mother got sick my mom's foot got a hole almost all the way through from a piece of wood with a rusty nail.
• My mom was not allowed to get up and Digory's mom couldn't get up.
• A doctor came to see Digory's mom and my mom was taken to the hospital.
• When Digory's mom got well she played with Polly and Digory and when my mom's foot got better she played games with me and my brother.
