Flight MH370

On March 8th 2014, a plane took off from Malaysia on a flight path to Beijing, China at 12:21 PM carrying 239 passengers. Less than an hour into the flight the plane lost all connection to the flight tower; the plane went down and crashed into water. It has been confirmed that the plane crashed south of Indonesia and west of Australia into the Indian Ocean. The plane has not been found, nor has there been any confirmed debris from flight MH370

Place and Location:
Flight MH370 left Malaysia's main airport Kuala Lumpur at 12:21 PM on Saturday, March 8th heading to Beijing, An hour into the flight the plane took a sharp left turn and supposedly crashed. The plane is suspected to have landed in the Indian Ocean after much deliberation. There has been no confirmed debris from the plane, but there has been many sightings of debris over the last few weeks which may be part of the plane. There has been over 100 sightings of objects in the Indian Ocean seen on satellite since the plane went down.

Environment:
Many sightings of objects have been found in the Indian Ocean since the day of the crash. Everyone is concerned if these object are pieces of debris from MH370. They are worried about finding the plane but not what affect the debris will have on its surroundings. Some objects shown on satellite are said to be up to 24 meters long! When these pieces of debris sink to the bottom of the ocean it is ruining many animals habitats. Animals like fish and sharks live deep in the ocean, large pieces of debris smash into their homes ruining them. Animals could even be killed because of the toxins in the debris itself, like the engine fuel. Lately garbage such as as plastic soup bowl and cups have been seen on satellite, this could relate to flight MH370.

Movement:
Many search parties have been sent out to find the missing people and plane of MH370, unfortunately there has been no success in doing so. Many objects have been seen on satellite
they are supposedly from flight MH370 but nothing has been confirmed. Many information on MH370 has been unconfirmed but many certified news channels like BBC, CBC, Globe and Mail, National Post, New York Times, and Washington Post have verified little information about the crash. The information that has been confirmed is either from experts or search parties.

Region:
The Indian Ocean is the world's third-largest ocean and it has an area of 26,469,900 square miles (68,566,000 sq km). It is located between Africa, the Southern Ocean, Asia and Australia. The Indian Ocean has an average depth of 13,002 feet and the Java Trench is its deepest point at -23,812 feet.The waters of the Indian Ocean also include water bodies such as the Andaman, Arabian, Flores, Java and Red Seas as well as the Bay of Bengal, Great Australian Bight, Gulf of Aden, Gulf of Oman, Mozambique Channel and the Persian Gulf. The Indian Ocean is known for causing the monsoonal weather patterns that dominate much of southeast Asia and for having waters that have been historical chokepoints. The plane is believed to have crashed in the southern Indian Ocean. Asia, Antarctica, Africa, and Australia all boarder the Indian Ocean.

Interactions:
The search for MH370 continues, but it has been confirmed that it has crashed in the Indian Ocean with no survivors. The planes interaction with the Indian Ocean is dangerous and hazardous. Not only is it interacting with the ocean and the habitats in it, it is also interacting with the fish, whales, sharks, etc. Due to the movement of the ocean the debris of this massive plane has spread all over the Indian Ocean. Thai satellite images show around 300 objects that are possibly debris from the plane. Some objects were detected to be up to 24 meters long. Many habitats are ruined once the debris sinks to the bottom of the ocean, which it eventually will. There are many different interactions involving the plane, like the plane and the ocean, debris and underwater animals, etc.
