Early Life

  • Walt was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago
  • Walt attended the new Park School of Marceline in fall, 1909.
  • His brothers ran away in 1906.

Teenage Years

  • Disney dropped out of high school at the age of sixteen
  • Disney drove an ambulance driver immediately after World War I
  • He became the cartoonist for the school newspaper, drawing patriotic topics

The start of his career

  • In 1920, Walt and his friend started a animation company.
  • In 1922, he got his own studio. It was called Laugh-O-Gram Studio.
  • Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was one of disney's most successful charecters

Disney World

  • On October 1971, Disney World opened.
  • It is arguably the most famous theme park in the world.
  • EPCOT, an expansion to Disney world, opened in 1982.

Rough Times

  • Sadly, In February 1928 Universal took the rights to Oswald.
  • Disney was diagnosed with lung cancer.
  • On December 15, 1966, He died of lung cancer because he smoked a lot.
