Boys have physical differences from girls that makes it harder to sit.

Boys' tailbones go lower and have less fat protection.

A boy's pelvis comes to a sharp point

A boy's center of gravity in in his chest, where as, a girl's is in her hips

What can we do?

Some ADHD meds rewire the brain to go from back to front lobes so that they go from right to left.

That's a big deal because HAL students also go from back lobe to front.

Create a standing work area for students to choose to work at.

Give seating options.

Fidgets

  • Call them tools not toys.
  • stress balls, bath sponge, hair ties, foam gifts, stretchy toys, marble in chinese handcuffs, bathtub decals,

Wiggling toes reduces anxiety.
