CRAAP TEST

  • Currency
  • Relevance
  • Authority
  • Accuracy
  • Purpose

Currency
The timeliness of the information, or how long the source has been available for.

Relevance
The importance of the information. How relevant is the subject?

Authority
The source of the information. Does the source have an author?

Accuracy
The reliability, truthfulness, and correctness of the informational content.

Purpose
The reason why you are choosing this source. What was the purpose of the source?

HOW DO YOU FIND A CREDIBLE SOURCE?

  • Go to google.com
  • Search your image
  • Click the "labeled for reuse" button
  • This process works the same for bing.com

Example
For example, when I was finding credible sources for my Pecha Kucha this year, I found credible sources from the "labeled to reuse" button.

Another way to find a credible search is Creative Commons, a website to find credible sources for reuse without copyright.

This image was found off google, however modifying the copyright license to "labeled for reuse" it can be used as a credible source.
