3. Over Expansion Over time, Rome got a lot of land along with a lot of people. It became too big to govern properly and money was spent on things like the military rather than society's needs.
2. Plague The plague killed thousands of people in Rome which weakened the economy. Less people means less laborers. The less laborers means less trade and crop production which leaves Rome economically unstable.
1. Political Instability Rome had very inconsistent leaders. Almost each leader had a different way of ruling which most likely made the Roman people unhappy. Unhappy citizens could cause revolts that in this case, was the main contributor to the fall of Rome.
