JEFFEREY DAHMER

CHILDHOOD

• Dahmer was relatively neglected by his parents.
• His mother suffered an addiction to equinill pills
• His mother also survived a suicide attempt in later years
• Dahmer developed an interest in dissecting small animals
• He described his home life as being of "extreme tension"

ADOLESCENCE

• During puberty Dahmer came to terms with his homosexuality, which he hid from his parents
• Dahmer was commonly seen drinking in school and described alcohol as his medicine
• In 1978, at age 18, Dahner's parents divorced and he killed his first victim
• After losing his job, Dahmer's father encouraged him to enlist in the army
• After serving in the army he traveled to florida but was evicted and moved to his grandmother's home

DAHMER'S MURDERS

• Dahmer would invite his victims to his home & offer them a drink
• He would lace alcohol with sedatives and wait for them to fall unconscious
• After performing sexual acts Dahmer would eventually to dismember the body
• He would fillet the skin and soak it in acid, and the bones in bleach
• Dahmer would keep and attempt to preserve the heads and genetalia of later victims
