• Guests who were staying in hotels were told to leave the park
• People who reserved hotels did not get their money back
• Statues in the surrounding area were closed to the public with guards
• The roads to Yosemite were closed to the public.

effects on Employees

• Employees were forced to work during the shutdown
• Many Employees couldn't go home and stayed in hotels
• The employees that stayed were not paid for their extra time.
• about halfway most employees were sent home.

Effects on COMMUNITY and conservation

• Small towns near Yosemite depend on tourist cash to stay a float.
• All conservation groups were set to wait until the shutdown ended.
• Yosemite will be in a great dept for no income.
• Over 7 million visitors will not be able to enter Yosemite.
• Animal relocation centers will be closed during the shutdown.
