LOCATION

  • The hypothalamus is found in the medial posterior part of the brain.

THE PURPOSE?

  • It is the control center for most autonomic functions.
  • A vital role in homeostasis.
  • It also has some control over the pituitary glands.
  • And has a few emotional responses.

EFFECT OF FLUORINE ON THE HYPOTHALAMUS.

  • They tried to decide if fluorine had an effect on the hypothalamus
  • They did so by putting a serum into the experimental groups food
  • And they kept it away from the control group.
  • They found that fluorine can effect the hormone levels in the layers
  • Of the hypothalamus.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT DOESN'T FUNCTION PROPERLY

  • If your hypothalamus isn't functioning properly
  • You will have trouble maintaining a healthy, constant
  • Body temperature. There can be complications in
  • Child birth, your emotions can go all over the place.
  • You will have trouble sleeping, and producing milk.

  • You weight and appetite will be messed up and unhealthy.
  • And you can be dehydrated because your salt and water
  • Balance could be off.
