WHAT IS THE GREEN HOUSE EFFECT

• Sunlight enters the earths atmosphere, passing through the blanket of greenhouse gases.
• As it reaches the earth surface the land and water absorbs the sunlights energy
• Once absorbed the absorbed the energy is sent back into the atmosphere in the form of infra red rays
• Some of the energy passed back into space but much of it remains trapped in the atmosphere by the greenhouse gasses causes earth to warm up.

• It will kill off plans and animals
• Polluting water will make us sick and weak a genst Diseases.
• Cilmate change
• Hurricanes , rising sea levels , droughts

WHAT CAN WE DO

• Switch to renewable energy like solar or wind.
• Choose a more efficient vehicle (high milage)
• Drive cautiously (avoid damage to vehicle)
• "Replace your light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs."
