WHAT WAS THE UFWA

• The united farm workers association.
• Workers wanted equal rights
• In 1964 the UFWA had about 1000 workers.

WORKERS TREATED UNFAIRLY

• Family of 4 for 3 hours, only 20 cents.
• Farm owers took advantage of them.
• Working conditions were terrible.
• 1970 finally passed

GRAPE BOYCOT

• First strike did not work
• Needed to be more persuasive
• March to the California state capitol
