• Born in1386 in Florence italy
• He was a major Italian sculptor
• His father was apart of the florentine wool cambers guild which helped him be an artist
• He was a son of a crafts man and was forced to work on the path of trades
• He received his artistic training by a local gold smith.

MAJOR ACHIVMENTS

• Donatello assisted Ghiberti in creating the cathedral doors
• He made two small statues at the north door of the cathedral
• He created the life size marble sculpture David
• He went to Rome to get a better understanding for his art

BELIEFS

• David marks his later works and shows who he was as a person
• After David the more art he made more emotional and dramatic to show his beliefs
• His are shows his depression and pain
