JACOB THE PROPHET

Jacob is considered a patriach of the Israelites. In the Hebrew bible he is the son of Isaac and Rebekah. He has an older twin of esan and has 15 children: Judah, Joseph, Benjamin, Reuben, Levi, Simeon, Dina, Asher, Isachar, Dan, Gad, Manasseh, Naphtali,Zebullen and Joseph in Islam.

Jacob's name changed when god appeared to him in his sleep and told him to change his name to Israel. God also told Jacob to become a prophet and travel around telling everyone about the future.

What's a prophet?
A prophet is a person that travels around to towns and villages warning everyone about what will happen in the future if they sin.

What's a prophecy?
A prophecy is a prediction of something that in this case is inspired by god of something that will happen in the future.

Jacob travelled around the lands spreading the word of god and prophecising the future of the planet if everyone continued to live very sinful lives and what would happen to them if they followed in gods path.
