  • They were the most popular toy in the 1920's

  • In 1948 she created the first walking dolls

  • She was one of the first to mass produce collectible dolls.

American Girl Dolls

  • They were created by Pleasant Rowland
  • Launched their first 3 dolls in 1986
  • They launched the Be Forever collection in 1986

American Girl Dolls

  • In 1995 the created the My American Girl line which allows girls to create their own dolls
  • Most of the dolls are 18" tall

  • In 2001 they started Girl of the Year
  • In 1992 they launched the American Girl Magazine
  • In 2004 they were officially renamed American Girl
