PRESENTATION OUTLINE

ACUTE ANGLE :

  • an angle with a measure greater than 0 degrees and less than 90 degrees .

OBTUSE ANGLE :

  • an angle greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees .

RIGHT ANGLE :

  • the angle formed by two radii of a circle that are drawn to the extremities of an arc equal to one quarter of the circle; the angle formed by two perpendicular lines that intersect; an angle of 90°.

STRAIGHT ANGLE :

  • the angle formed by two radii of a circle that are drawn to the extremities of an arc equal to one half of the circle; an angle of 180°.

VERTICAL ANGLE :

ONE OF TWO OPPOSITE AND EQUAL ANGLES FORMED BY THE INTERSECTION OF TWO LINES .

ADJACENT ANGLE :

two angles having the same vertex and having a common side between them .

SUPPLEMENTARY :

EITHER OF TWO ANGLES THAT ADDED TOGETHER PRODUCE AN ANGLE OF 180°.

CORRESPONDING ANGLE :

TWO NONADJACENT ANGLES MADE BY THE CROSSING OF TWO LINES BY A THIRD LINE, ONE ANGLE BEING INTERIOR, THE OTHER EXTERIOR, AND BOTH BEING ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE THIRD LINE .

TRANSVERSAL :

THE THIRD LINE FORMED WHEN TWO PARALLEL LINES ARE INTERSECTED

COMPLEMENTARY :

TWO ANGLES ARE COMPLEMENTARY IF THE SUM OF THEIR MEASURES IS 90 DEGREESSSSSES .
