- The snow leopard is a large cat native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia
- Snow leopards are slightly smaller than the other big cats
- Snow leopards live to around 10-12 years old in the wild.
- A snow leopard can run 35 mph
- Snow leopard can have 2 or 3 cubs or more

- The snow leopard lives in cold mountains
- Snow leopard eats blue sheep, Argali wild sheep, ibex, marmots, pikas and hares
- Unlike other big cats, snow leopards can't roar.
- A female is called a leopardess.
- Snow Leopards weigh between 60-120 pounds.

- Humans also destroy snow leopard habitat and food sources by killing the prey animals they need to feed on

WHAT MEASURES ARE BEING TAKEN TO HELP PROTECT THE ANIMAL
- Snow Leopards do not have many predators, in fact their main predator is man
- They use their sharp teeth and claws to protect their self
- Efforts to save the snow leopard include the signing of treaties and laws by governments to make their trafficking illegal.
- Conservation agencies have also been created to preserve them.

- I won't wear fur coats made from any animals
