Biography

  • Born at Kilpatrick, near Dumbarton, in Scotland in 387.
  • Died at Saul, Downpatrick in Ireland March 17, 461.
  • Saint Patrick's Feast Day is at March 17.
  • Education wasn't introduced to him at a young age.
  • He built the first church in Saul, where he died.

Biography

  • Saint Patrick's parents were Romans living in Britain in charge of colonies.
  • At the age of 14 or sixteen, he was captured and taken to Ireland as a slave in Dalriada.
  • Herded sheeps as a slave.
  • During his captivity, his prayer life grew and he started studying to be a presbyter.

The Dream

  • Saint Patrick heard a voice in a dream one night. He escaped and found a passage to a ship to Britain. Reunited with his parents.
