PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Some Basic words related to Light
-Reflection: when light bounces off a reflective surface.
-Transmitted: when light goes through an object that is transparent.
-Opaque: something that light can't pass through.
-Refraction: when light bends when it enters and leaves a transparent object.
-Transparent:Object that light can go through.
Shadows
Shadows are formed when light hits an opaque object. In our case, the shadow of a person depends on the angle of the sun. When the sun rises, the person's shadow will be in the opposite direction then when sun sets.
Spectrum of White Light
The spectrum of white light consists of 7 colours which are : red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, the colours of the rainbow.White Light is light that we see fail coming from luminous objects.Non-luminous objects are objects that do not create their own light.
Refraction
Refraction is when light bends when it enters or leaves a transparent object.Usually it bends towards the normal when it goes in and away from the normal when it comes out.The coulors of the spectrum all have different wave lengths, red has the largest and violet the shortest. The shorter wavelength means the larger is the angle of bending.
Law of Reflection
Angle of Incidence=Angle of Reflection.
Colored Light
There are three primary colours which are red, blue and green. Each object has a colour which is given to it by light. For example when white light hits a red object all the light is absorbed except for red and orange, which are reflected into the person's eyes.Black appears to be black because it absorbs all the light, unlike a white object that reflects all the light back into the person's eyes, basically the whole spectrum of White light.
