• Combines nitrogen from the air with hydrogen(methane)
• Catalyst has potassium hydroxide added to it
• In order to produce the best ammonia the equilibrium must be shifted as far to the right as possible
• The temperature must be greatly lowered

• The cylinder in the middle is the fulcrum
• When the board is level and balanced it is at equilibrium
• When you stand on the board you try to balance and be at equilibrium
