PRESENTATION OUTLINE
One of the greatest inventions of the Greeks was only used as a toy. The Aeolipile is a steam engine that was invented by a Greek inventor and scientist named Hero. He also invented automata like the automatic door, a vending machine, a wind operated pipe organ, water pump, and odometer.
Another important invention was aqueducts. It was invented by Archimedes. He also invented the Archimedes ' screw, to transport water to different location and lever, which led to the invention of tools that we use today.
Greek also the first one to invent the catapult to protect their city. It was invented by Dionysius, also know as Dionysius the Elder of Syracuse. Catapult were used for many wars and as time passed, it evolve and became more effective.
