Raising poultry from hatching to adulthood is harder than everyone thinks. Poultry can get sick or hurt very easily.

2.

They poop everywhere, including their food and water.When chicks poop, the poop can get hard and block their vent. It takes a gentle hand to clear the vent.

3.

If not done with care, you can irritate the skin of the vent. Irritated skin becomes raw and bloody. Other chicks and chickens will peck at the vent and can kill the chick.
