Who invented the morse code?

A: Samuel Morse

Things about Samuel morse

  • He invented the Morse Code  
  • His wife's name was Elizabeth Griswold
  • He had 7 kids
  • He invented it because he had a problem with communication
  • He didn't know that his wife died until a week after it happened

More facts about morse

  • He was born on April 27, 1791
  • He died on April 2, 1872
  • He wanted to find a way to communicate faster

How do you send it?

A: Lots of Different Ways

You can send it by tapping and flashing lights. There are other ways but those are the main ones people used.

why did people use it?

A: Often in Wars

They usually used it in war because if a soldier found something out they could tell other soldiers without getting caught.

How do you read it?

A: Dots and Slashes 

You use it with dots and slashes. You will see the key in a little bit.
