History of Puzzles
In 1767 London cartogarapher and engraver, John Spilsbury, put a map of Europe on a block of wood and started to cut the kingdoms with a marquetry saw. He used this as a teaching tool. This kept on going, but in the late 1800's cardboard puzzles came along. Also, the golden age of puzzles was in the 1920's and 30's.
