A is for Ashes
A is for ashes because that is the firemen's slogan; burn it down, then burn the ashes. The ashes are what's left of the firemen's work if done right. The fireman pour kerosene on houses and burn them because the residents have books in them. In this world books are illegal.
B is for Burn
B is for burn because that's what the firemen do they burn books. Books are illegal and anyone caught with them gets their house burned. If a person has one or more books in their home then the firemen come and burn down your house.

C is for Conformity
C is for conformity because this what all citizens must do. They must conform to the norm. The government wants everyone to be the same. They endorse conformity and condemn individuality.
D is for Dose
D is for Dose because Millie overdosed on her pills when Guy found her in their home. The next day she doesn't remember anything she just thinks she had a horrible nights sleep. Millie is unhappy with her life and takes pills to hopefully kill herself. When Guy finds her he calls the emergency medical staff and they pump her stomach.

E is for Eye-Opener
E is for eye-opener because that's what Clarisse is to Montag. She opens his eyes to another world rather than being like robots. She tells him about hep the world used to be with firemen who put out fired and how people used to be a lot happier.

F is for Firemen
F is for firemen because Guy is a firemen. The firemen in this book don't put out fires, they start them instead. The firemen burn books because books are illegal in the society. If you have a book in your home and the firemen find out you will living in a pile of ashes.

G is for Guy
G is for Guy because our protagonist's name is Guy. Guy is a firemen who burns books in this dystopian society. Guy is at first just another normal person who goes along with the governments ways until he meets Clarisse. She changes his perspective on life.
