Traits:
A characteristic or property of an organism.
Heredity:
A passing of traits from parent to offspring.
Sexual Reproduction:
a biological process by which plants and animals create offspring by combining their genetic material.
Asexual Reproduction:
Offspring arises from a single organism, and inherits the genes of that parent only.
Genes:
A unit of heredity that is transferred from a parent to offspring.
Chromosomes:
Found in the nucleus of most living cells, carrying genetic information in the form of genes.
DNA:
It is the carrier of genetic information.
Genotype:
the genetic constitution of an individual organism.
Phenotype:
the set of observable characteristics of an individual resulting from the interaction with the environment.
Allele:
one of two or more alternative forms of a gene that arise by mutation and are found at the same place on a chromosome.
