WHAT COUNTRY USES IT THE MOST

  • The United States uses 683,300,000,000 cubic meters
  • Which is about 25% of the worlds oil
  • Russia closely follows the US in consumption

DISADVANTAGES

  • Creates greenhouse gas emissions
  • Highly volatile and dangerous to transport
  • Difficult to know if it's leaking no odor and colorless

IS IT EXPENSIVE?

  • Costs are currently rising not just because of the cold
  • Bills are expected to top $400

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS USED TO GET IT?

  • Induced hydraulic fracturing is commonly used on gas fields
  • Similar types of equipment is used for oil

HOW ITS PRODUCED & USED

  • It is first pumped out of the ground then sent to a processing plant
  • Also could go to a refinery
  • It is used for grills, ovens, explosives, and very few specially made vehicles

ADVANTAGES

  • Cleanest burning fossil fuel
  • Low emissions after burning and can be safely stored
  • Considered to be environmentally friendly
