Emily volenteered to take the note, but General Greene said the jorney would be to dangerous. Finally,Emily convinced him.

Emily rode all day.She went through cool woods. She drank water from clear springs. She did her best to stay hidden from sight.

One day on her trip though she was caught by three British soldiers. So they took her to a house and locked here in until they found a girl to search her.She had to think fast.

She took out the message and memorized it.Then she ate it.Finally, when the women came in she searched her and found nothing. So the soldiers said sorry for the misunderstanding and she was on her way.
