ENDA: EMPLOYMENT NON-DISCRIMINATION ACT

• would protect private and public employees from employment discrimination on the basis of perceived or actual sexual orientation and gender identity.

Equality Act of 2015

• covers 8 major areas for which LGBT people are currently not federally protected: public accommodations, public education, employment, housing, federal funding, jury service, legal protections, and credit.
• Amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include sexual orientation and gender identity among the other protected classes.
