HISTORY AND BACKROUND

  • 35th president from January 20, 1961 and got assaisnated
  • November 22, 1963
  • Only president for 3 years
  • Democratic
  • His speech the Inaugural was given in the year 1961

SUMMARY OF THE SPEECH

  • "Inauguration Adress" was given to inspire fellow Americans
  • He wanted to reassure Americans of their nations strengths
  • To show them what they could do as a whole
  • JFK wanted people to not be afraid to fight for freedom
  • He wanted to basically tell Americans not to be afraid

INPORTANT LINES

  • "And so my fellow Americans, ask not what
  • your country can do for you; ask what you
  • can do for your country"
  • This line really resembles the fact that we
  • forget how selfish as a country we can be

CONTUINED

  • "Ask not what america will do for you,
  • but what we can do for freedom of man."
  • In this line he explains If we can not think
  • of our selfs we could help everyone.
