CHILDHOOD

  • Francesco was born on July 20, 1304 in Arezzo, Itlay
  • He was raised in Florence
  • He lived with his parents and his two siblings, Gherardo, and Petracco
  • He attended the University of Montepellier, from 1316-1320
  • He then went to the University of Bologna from 1320-1323

Adulthood

  • He married a woman named Laura
  • Francesco had two kids, named Giovanni, and Francesca
  • His daughter married Francescuolo da Brossano
  • In 1361 his son died
  • After attending college he became an international scholar

  • Francesco was a poet, he would often write poems about his wife, Laura
  • Most of his poems were written in Latin or Italian
  • He was considered to be "father of humanism"
  • He was considered to be that because of his way of expressing knowledge by writing

  • This quote means that on Earth we are stuck here with all the other people and that he wants to leave and be with peace
