Earth and Mars

HOW ARE WE ABLE TO LIVE LIFE ON EARTH?

TO live you have 7 needs t0 live these needs are...

  • Energy
  • A healthy atmosphere
  • Natural Recycling
  • Reasonable climate and tempature
  • Water

We are able to live life on Earth because we have all the needs there is to life, such as water, healthy environment, etc. Here is why we are able to live on Earth. First, I am going to tell you about the water in planet Earth. About 70% of Earth’s water is frozen and 29% is ground water, which leaves 1% left for human usage. Although, that may not seem like very much water, some of the water for human usage is part of the underground because it is going through aquifers.

Mars does not have very much water. The water that is on Mars is either frozen or hidden in deep underground springs. Last, scientist think that there used to be water a long time ago on Mars.

This leads me into another thing that allows humans to live on Earth. The Earth has many ways to do natural recycling. For example, when I was just talking about aquifers that is a way of natural recycling, we reuse our water once it has been cleaned out. Last, another way the Earths uses natural recycling is when we recycle paper and card board, we don’t recycle that just for the fun of it, we recycle this because it helps the tree not have to be cut down as much. We are reusing trees!

Research shows that Mars does not have any natural recycling for carbonate. Mars does not have any trees that scientists know of so their is not any natural recycling for that. Overall, Mars has no way of natural recycling.

Another principal that allows us to live on Earth is the Earth’s climate. The Earth’s climate changes based on the where the Earth is on its rotation around the sun. If the Earth is facing the sun then it will be warmer weather if the Earth is facing away from the sun then it is colder weather.

Mars climate is pretty cold and has a thin atmosphere. Surprising like Earth but the seasons are much cooler than Earth's seasons. Scientists also infer that because of the Earths climate you would have to wear space to be at a comfortable temperature on Mars.

Next, another way that we are able to live on Earth is because we have a reasonable gravitational field, the gravitational field refers to the acceleration that the Earth imparts to objects near or on it's surface.

Mars gravitational field has less weight therefore, you would weigh less on Earth. Last, Mars has less gravity compared to our planet Earth.

Next, I am going to tell you about the Earth’s temperature. The Earth’s average temperature is 60 ˚F. The average temperature from 2013 was 58 ˚F, but the temperatures change throughout the decade. The temperature is also based on where the Earth is on its revolution around the sun. If our half of the Earth is facing the sun it will be warmer weather but if our half is facing away from the sun then it will be cooler weather.

Mars average temperature is about -80˚F that's a lot cooler than Earth's average temperature of about 60˚F. The reason Mars is cooler than Earth is because Mars is farther away from the sun than Earth.

Another characteristic that makes us able to live on Earth is the Earth's atmosphere. Our planets atmosphere is 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen and the reaming 1% is other gases. Next, the Earth's atmosphere gets thinner the higher up you go in the sky. The atmosphere also, traps the heat making the Earth a comfortable heat. Last the Earths atmosphere has oxygen essential for life.

Mars atmosphere is very thin and is made mostly of carbon dioxide gas. The surface of the Earth is almost all rock and dirt. Mars has a wide verity of things from flat areas to mounts to canyons to volcanoes. Last, an most importantly you can not breathe on Mars, if you were to live there you would have to wear a breathing mask.

The last reason Earth is able to be livable is because we have energy that we get from all different things around us. The Earth gets energy from the clouds, water vapor, etc. that directly adsorb 23% of solar energy. That leaves 53% reaming for incoming energy from the atmosphere.

Mars gets most of its energy from the sun. Mars spins on an axis just like earth and circles around the sun like earth to get energy from the sun. The only difference is Mars takes 687 days to do one orbit around the sun while the Earth takes 365.25 days to take one orbit around the sun.

Earth and Mars both orbit the sun, but Earth is closer to the than Mars. It takes the Earth 365 days to take one orbit around the sun and takes Mars 687 days to travel one whole orbit. Mars is father away from the sun, therefore Mars is a cooler planet temperature wise than earth.
