Today I'm going to go over facts on Plutonium in detail.

In 1940 Plutonium was first used by the Manhattan. Project for nuclear purposes such as power production and mass destruction.

The name comes from the title Plutium and the symbol came to be from an abbreviation of Plutonium.

Another interesting fact about plutonium is that the first two Plutonium-based nuclear test were 'Trinity' and Fat-Man.

SIX COMMON PROPERTIES

  • Silver-white
  • Sometimes grey
  • Dull coated
  • Tarnishes in air
  • Atomic number is 94

  • Expands in air
  • The first three of those being physical.
  • The second being chemical.

It's physical and chemical properties are caused by radioactivity of the atom because of its electron state.
