In the summer of 1952 Luke Chandler's life changes when two very dangerous immigrants come to work on his father's cotton farm. A murder leaves the town crawling in suspicion and gossip. Someone has started to paint the bare house board by board with white paint. Luke accumulates secrets that could shatter lives, and a pretty girl ignites corrupted passions.
Characters, Setting, and Events The characters in my book are Luke Chandler, his parents, his grandparents, the hill people, the mexican workers, and Luke's uncle. My book takes place in 1952 on a cotton farm in Arkansas.
