Plot
Danny Walker wanted to play for the 7th grade travel basketball team in Middleton (The Vikings) but he did not make the team due to the coach wanting more "hieght" on the team so, danny and his dad create a team of people who were told they weren't good enough to try to be the better team in town

Mood
The mood throughout Travel Team was both happy and sad. The book was sad because Richie Walker got in an accident and it ended his NBA career. Everyone thought it was just an unfortunate incident, but it turns out that Richie was drinking after the game. Danny didn't know that until after his basketball team's practice when Ali Walker told Danny to get in the car so Ali and Richie could talk. Instead of going in the car Danny snuck up and hid so they couldn't see him, but he could hear what they were saying. At that point he overheard his mom talking to his dad about his drinking addiction. Danny was stunned.

Favorite part
My favorite part is when Danny makes the pass to Ty to beat the Vikings which is the best team in the league.
