4.
COULD LIFE EXIST HERE?
No definite answer so far
Possible life could have existed due to mars'
proximity and similar features to earth
Only sources of water found in north and south ice caps
Traces of bacteria found on surface hold evidence of possible life

SATELLITES
Mars has 2 natural orbiting moons
Phobos and Deimos
Both are relatively small
Not fully discovered yet
Both resemble captured giant asteroids
6.
MARS/EARTH COMPARISON
Mars is about 1/2 the size of Earth (6800km mars)(12400km earth)
Mars has amost double the revolution period of Earth (687 days)
Mars' gravity is only 38% of earths
1 mars day= 24.9 hours, 1 earth day= 23.9 hours
Both have almost identical axis degrees (mars: 25.1 deg)(earth: 23.5 deg)
